The Sask Research Council is one of Canada’s leading providers of applied science research, development (RD&D) and technology commercial services. It has over 400 staff, over $79 million in annual revenue and 65 years of RD&D experience, SRC provides services and products to its 1,900 clients in Saskatchewan, Canada and around the world.
Unfortunately, the old website presence for SRC did not accurately reflect the capabilities and status of SRC on the national stage. SRC needed a new database driven website built on SharePoint 2010 to accomodate more than 100 services and present them in a way that were easy for customers to find. The year long project involved a complete overhaul of the sites information architecture, and development of custom SharePoint WebParts as well as page templates. As a result, the new SRC website stretches the boundaries of what is possible with SharePoint 2010 and delivers a customer centric experience that makes finding any service or customer resource possible within three clicks.
